Overview
With HMSA’s Online Care, you can speak with physicians immediately using Web-based videoconferencing, secure chat, or the telephone. Online Care is convenient and easy to use, and conversations are secure, private and affordable. Online Care is there when you need it and is accessible to all Hawaii residents - not just HMSA members.
For those times when you want to see a doctor without delay, HMSA’s Online Care provides instant access to general practitioners and specialists. You can get the answers you need without an appointment in the comfort and privacy of your home. No traffic. No appointment required. No hassle.
Through conversations via the Web or telephone, doctors can review your patient information, discuss your condition, answer questions, and prescribe medication as appropriate. After each session, you can forward notes from the conversation to your doctors and keep an online record for your reference. All of the online doctors are part of HMSA’s physician network, so you are guaranteed exceptional care from qualified, local doctors.
This service is especially valuable when you need an immediate answer to a pressing concern, are too busy to go to the doctor’s office, are worried and want peace of mind, are uninsured or underinsured, or live in a rural area, to name a few.
HMSA is all about choices for a healthier Hawaii. That’s why we are excited to be the first health plan in the nation to offer this innovative health care option.
Why wait to get the care you need? HMSA’s Online Care … Just a click away.
